ON-ik-ah. Onycha is a somewhat mysterious ancient fixative musk that is mentioned several ancient religious texts including the Bible and the Qur'an.

Made from shells of a sea mollusk, true Onycha is said to impart a very beautiful, deep, musky, slightly sweet, smoky and leathery character, pairing beautifully with resins and incense notes.

In ancient times Onycha was revered as a rare and exotic fragrance ingredient, reserved exclusively for ancient royalty and religious elite.

How should I store my fragrances?

Skillfully crafted, high-quality fragrances age like fine wines, growing in beauty and depth throughout their lives. However, they must be properly stored, shielded from light and humidity and temperature fluctuations.

Storing your Onycha fragrances in the bathroom is NOT recommended, due to spiking temperature and humidity. We urge you to store your Onycha fragrance in a cool, dark, dry spot that doesn't experience fluctuations in temperature.

Storing your Onycha fragrance in its custom dark green box will shield it from light and, to a lesser degree, temperature fluctuations. Proper storage and care of your Onycha fragrance will ensure that it ages beautifully, improving over time.

Are your fragrances safe to use and transparently labeled?

Yes. All of our formulations are fully compliant with both IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards and EU cosmetic regulations. We are committed to transparency and safety, which is why we clearly list all regulated allergens on our packaging. You may notice that some of these allergen names sound like synthetic ingredients; however, they are most often naturally occurring components found within complex natural materials such as essential oils and absolutes. Even though they are present in nature, they are classified and labeled as allergens under EU law to ensure consumers are fully informed.

We ship within the US using FedEx Ground, UPS Ground, or USPS Ground Advantage depending on a variety of factors. Right now, we’re offering free FedEx Ground shipping on all orders over $125.

We do not currently ship directly outside the United States. However, if you have access to a U.S.-based freight forwarding service, we are happy to ship your order to the forwarding address you designate. Please note that once your order has been delivered to the freight forwarder, all responsibility and risk for international shipping, including customs clearance, duties, taxes, loss, damage, or delays, rests with you.As we continue to grow, we hope to offer direct international shipping to select markets in the future.
