"Island of the Lost City of Ras Mkumbuu”

ACT I -  Bitter Gold
A slight bitter-green citrus-infused sandalwood, faceted with a slight rosy spice. Within minutes it softens into something boozier and warmer, with a hint of spiced rum poured over fresh apricot. Sophisticated and silky, slightly sweet, but not loud.
ACT II - Sandalwood Pulp
Creamy sandalwood takes center stage, butter-soft and lactonic, wrapped in jasmine and threaded through with that same warm rum from the opening. Sensual, with moderate natural projection… flattering.
ACT III - Balsamic Pulse
Deep amber and dark vanilla settle in, warm and sweet but not sticky, grounded and balanced by dry woods and resins. The sandalwood never leaves. It rides the trail for hours, soft as cashmere, with a whisper of hay wrapped around it. This is the kind of scent someone leans in to catch… addictive.

Perfumer’s Note: “I wrote this formula based on my love for the Sandalwood-African Rum-Amber trio. Such a gorgeous, creamy union… I have wanted to create this fragrance for quite a while. Petitgrain bergamotier was, in my mind, the very best citrus for this mix, floral and twiggy, great for this fragrance’s intro.  Davana, to me, was the ideal secondary floral to bring into the mix, due to its jammy tropical character… the perfect backup to jasmine blossom. Cedarwood, frankincense and vetiver helped to bolster and flesh out the woody aspects of sandalwood in just the right way. The vanilla base, with a touch of creamy tonka, brought a soft gourmand edge out in the drydown… a perfect end to a creamy tropical dream.” Joseph Erwin
